There's some dirt mold inside. And I just noticed that the inside of the case lid has a little pocket containing what appear to be shaded filter eyepieces.

Ships mark 30 mod. Not sure about this. Vintage wwii era spencer Us military 7x50 binoculars Us. The spencer case is hard rubber and the back is covered in what appears to be Elmer's glue.

Sturdy, smooth dual focus. My thought is that this shows it was affixed to the wall, perhaps while in Use aboard a military ship, but I can't say with any certainty the case may not be the original one. Very heavy.

But the image is really very nice indeed nonetheless. Remarkably clean clear image for its age. In any event, the glue peels off very easily.
