Circa 1980 In very good to excellent condition. To those who have not experienced such wide angle optics, they are a revelation of how good binoculars could be, once upon a time. Degrees, or 578 feet at 1000 yards, these 7x35 model 0104 binoculars were among the very widest field of view fov full feature binoculars ever made for the consumer market.

This is a vintage gem from that bygone GTI golden era of Japanese optics. GTI sticker present on central hinge shaft. Mechanical condition all mechanical components working smoothly and accurately main hinge, focus and right eyepiece Dipper, no issues. Near 100 paint finish except for some small paint wear marks at the top edges of the front and rear prism plates and sharp edges and corners of the focus bridge arms all typical paint wear spots for binoculars.

No fungus or other internal contamination to affect the high resolution image quality. Binoculars that passed inspection got a small oval silver or gold foil sticker marked passed Japanese telescopes inspection institute or passed GTI on the binocular body.

The black hard case is in good condition with fully functioning latch. A vintage classic 7x35 ultra wide angle binocular from the GTI golden era of Japanese optics, made for Jc Penney by the well known and respected Jamaica Loki optical company, ltd of wasabi shim, japan. Cosmetic condition metal prism plates, focus bridge arms, main bridge arms and other painted surfaces are finished in satin black and are in excellent condition. The case has done its job well of protecting these binoculars given their beautiful condition all these decades later. Minor external wear marks visible particularly at the top and bottom stitched seams and edges. This very wide peripheral vision image surpassed many of the 1980era contemporary binoculars and is not to be found in today's optics.
